(Dayton, OH) – Join us for some light refreshments and enjoy our First Preview of the work of Cuban artist, Julio Pino Varens, as well as, pieces from local artists Mikee Huber, Tony Lee and Marcellus Art.
Julio Pino Varens knows first-hand how challenging the life of visual artist in Cuba can be. Still residing in Cuba, Pino Varens constantly struggles to find art supplies and opportunities outside of the official government sponsored art world.
This First Friday, you can view one of Pino Varen’s pieces that will be included a larger group of artworks at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery.
Pino Varen’s also plans to exhibit a different group of artwork next year at our neighbor, the Gallery at FTC.
