Hello and Welcome to the online-only art exhibition JOY (This Is Just What I Needed).  The exhibition is presented online as both an online catalog and video presentation.  Both are enjoyed best viewed on larger screens (Smart TV, laptop, tablet,…) in Full Screen mode and the video presentation can be watched with or without music.

It has been a pleasure working with these many, talented artists and curating this collection of artwork.

After over a year of pandemic related stress added to our already challenging lives, the Edward A. Dixon Gallery endeavored to create an art exhibition that might create smiles, laughter or feelings of peace from its viewers.

JOY is something we should hold onto whenever we find it, and I hope this exhibition brings someone just a little that they can hold onto and maybe share as each of these talented artists have.

The artworks contained in this exhibition catalog and the exhibition video contain many subjects(Landscapes, togetherness, nature, beauty, religion, smiles, kittens and more) , spans across several mediums and were submitted from artists throughout the United States and the world.  I hope you appreciate and see the joy in the pieces that made them special to the artists themselves.

The 165 artists selected for this exhibition sent in artwork from many parts of the world.  Many of the artists reside in the United States with some artists joining from Canada, France and Italy.

Modern technology sometimes does help to connect us all in a positive way!
